If you are or were an Owner paid by Canvas Energy f/k/a Chaparral Energy, LLC, for Oil-and-Gas Production Proceeds from an Oklahoma Oil-and-Gas Well, you could be part of a proposed class action settlement. This is a Court Authorized Settlement Website. This is not a solicitation from a lawyer.  If you belong to one or both of the Settlement Class and this Settlement is approved, your legal rights will be affected.  There is a proposed Settlement in a punitive class action lawsuit filed against Canvas Energy LLC, f/k/a Chaparral Energy, LLC (“Canvas”) called Wake Energy, LLC v. Canvas Energy LLC, f/k/a Chaparral Energy, LLC, Case No. CIV-25-249-JAR, in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma. The Litigation claims Canvas failed to pay statutory interest on payments made outside the time periods of the Production Revenue Standards Act (“PRSA”) for oil-and-gas production proceeds from wells in Oklahoma. You may be a member of the Settlement Class if you received payments for proceeds from the sale of oil-and-gas production from Contango wells in the State of Oklahoma with check dates between September 17, 2017, up to and including August 29, 2023. The Settlement Class has been preliminarily approved for settlement only. There are exclusions. The proposed Settlement provides monetary benefits of $4,500,000 that will be distributed according to the terms of the Settlement Agreement, the documents referenced in and exhibits to the Settlement Agreement, and orders from the Court. Plaintiff’s Counsel will seek attorneys’ fees up to 40% of the Settlement ($1,800,000), plus reimbursement of Litigation Expenses and Administration, Notice, and Distribution Costs, all to be paid from the Settlement. Plaintiff will seek a Case Contribution Award of up to 2% from the Settlement. TO OBTAIN THE BENEFITS OF THIS PROPOSED SETTLEMENT, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING. <figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td style="text-align:center;">Your Rights and Options<figure class="table"><table><tbody><tr><td style="vertical-align:top;">Object to the Settlement</td><td style="vertical-align:top;">If you stay in the Settlement Class, you may object to the proposed Settlement by following the instructions from the Court (available in the<a href="https://www.canvasclassaction.com/faq"> FAQ section</a> of this Settlement website) by December 18, 2025. </td></tr><tr><td style="vertical-align:top;">Exclude Yourself from the Settlement</td><td style="vertical-align:top;">If you do not wish to participate in or be legally bound by the proposed Settlement, you may exclude yourself by opting out no later than December 11, 2025, by following the instructions from the Court (available in the <a href="https://www.canvasclassaction.com/faq">FAQ section</a> of this Settlement website).</td></tr><tr><td style="vertical-align:top;">Do Nothing</td><td style="vertical-align:top;">You do not have to do anything to stay in the Settlement Class and receive the benefits of the proposed Settlement. </td></tr></tbody></table></figure></td></tr></tbody></table></figure>
